How it's built
Learn by doing
Every page has something to click, break or practice: live component demos, bug hunts with hidden defects, trainers and quizzes.
Mobile and web first
Examples come from the apps people actually use: shopping, banking, food delivery, fitness and travel.
Plain English
Written for complete beginners. Every term is explained the first time it appears, and the glossary is one hover away.
Honest about the messy parts
Where teams use words differently or platforms disagree, the lessons say so instead of pretending there is one right answer.
How to use it
- Follow the roadmap on the home page: Fundamentals, then UI components, features, mobile and web testing, tutorials and interview prep.
- Pick Quick or Detailed. Many lessons have a 5-minute version and an in-depth one. Switch at the top of the lesson.
- Do the exercises. Bug hunts hide real-looking defects in working demos. Try to find them before revealing the answers.
- Mark pages as complete and review them in Bites, a feed of 10-second cards that brings topics back just before you'd forget them.
- Prepare for interviews with 122 common questions, model answers and flashcards.
- Finish with the capstone project: test a whole app release, from reading the brief to a go / no-go recommendation, and get a printable certificate.
Your data
There are no accounts. Your progress, quiz scores, bug hunt results, Bites history and capstone work are stored only in your browser (local storage). Nothing is sent to a server. To move to another device, use Export and Import on the progress page. The only exception is the optional newsletter: if you sign up, your email address is stored by Kit, our newsletter service, and you can unsubscribe from any email.
Install it as an app
Bugwise works as an app on your phone or computer: it opens full screen from your home screen, and pages you've visited keep working without internet. On iPhone and iPad, open the site in Safari, tap Share and choose Add to Home Screen. On Android and in Chrome or Edge on a computer, use the button below or the install icon in the address bar.
Accuracy
Testing tools, platform rules and store policies change often. The lessons explain concepts that last, and they say when something depends on the platform version or your team's process. Always check current platform documentation before relying on an exact number or menu path.
