Breadcrumb
Also called: Breadcrumbs, Breadcrumb trail
A row of links showing where a page sits in the site's hierarchy, like Home › Camping › Tents.
Definition
Breadcrumbs help users move up a level. The current page shouldn't be a link, the trail should match the real hierarchy, and screen readers shouldn't read the separators aloud.
In practice
Home › Camping › Tents › Basecamp Dome 2P, where 'Tents' takes you back to the tent list.
