IndexedDB
A database inside the browser for larger structured data, often used for offline features.
Definition
Web apps store messages, drafts or cached data in IndexedDB. Testers inspect it in the DevTools Application panel and check it's cleared on logout when it should be.
In practice
An email web app keeps the last 500 messages in IndexedDB so the inbox opens offline.
