OS version
Also called: Operating system version, iOS version, Android version
Which version of iOS, Android or another operating system a device runs.
Definition
Apps support a range of OS versions, and behavior differs between them: permissions, notifications, back gestures and system dialogs all change. Bug reports must include the OS version, and test plans cover the oldest and newest supported ones.
In practice
The photo picker works on Android 14 but crashes on Android 10, the oldest version the app supports.
