Statement coverage
Also called: Line coverage
The percentage of code statements executed at least once by the tests.
Definition
It's the simplest code coverage measure (code coverage is the umbrella term). 100% statement coverage can still miss bugs, because a decision may never take its 'false' path.
In practice
Tests for a discount function run every line, but never the case where no discount applies.
