The user's approval for an app to use things like the camera, location, contacts or notifications.
Definition
Mobile apps must ask before using sensitive features, and users can deny or revoke permission at any time. Testers check allow, deny, "only this time", revoking in settings, and the app's explanation of why it needs access.
In practice
If the user denies camera access, the "Scan card" button should explain how to enable it in Settings instead of showing a black screen.
