Cursor pagination

Also called: Keyset pagination

Fetching the next items after a given item instead of skipping a count of items.

Definition

Offset paging ('skip 20') shows duplicates or skips items when data changes between pages. Cursor paging ('after item 4821') avoids that, which is why feeds use it.

In practice

A new product added while you browse doesn't push the last item of page 1 onto page 2 again.
