Dark mode
Also called: Dark theme, Night mode
A display setting that uses light text on dark backgrounds.
Definition
Dark mode is a system or app setting that switches the UI to dark colors. Testers check that all screens switch correctly, text remains readable with good contrast, and no images, icons or hard-coded colors become invisible.
In practice
In dark mode, the black logo on the login screen disappears against the dark background, and a help text stays dark grey on black.
