Planning poker
Also called: Scrum poker
A team estimation game where everyone reveals a story-point card at once, then discusses the differences.
Definition
Each team member picks a card (often 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13) for a user story. Cards are shown together so nobody anchors on the first opinion; the highest and lowest explain their reasoning and the team votes again.
In practice
Developers say 3, the tester says 8 because the story needs four devices and a payment sandbox, and the team agrees on 5 after discussing it.
