State persistence
Whether the app remembers what the user did after navigating away, rotating, or restarting.
Definition
State persistence is the app's ability to keep data and UI state, such as form input, selected tabs or scroll position, across navigation, screen rotation, backgrounding or restarts. Lost state is a very common mobile bug.
In practice
You fill in half a long form, switch to your email app to copy a code, and come back to find all fields empty.
