Test execution
The activity of running test cases, comparing actual with expected results and recording the outcome.
Definition
During execution a tester follows each case, notes the actual result, attaches evidence such as screenshots or logs for anything that isn't a clean pass, sets a status and links a bug report to every failure. In Xray, "Test Execution" is also the name of the Jira issue type that holds a run.
In practice
The tester runs TC-202, sees the expired code SPRING5 accepted, marks it Failed, attaches a screen recording and links bug FD-242.
