Accessibility testing
Also called: a11y testing
Checking that people with disabilities can use the product, for example with a screen reader.
Definition
Accessibility testing checks that everyone, including people with visual, hearing, motor or cognitive impairments, can use the app or site. It covers screen reader support, color contrast, text scaling, keyboard navigation and touch target size, often measured against WCAG.
In practice
With VoiceOver on, the "Pay" button is announced only as "Button", so a blind user cannot tell what it does.
