Firebase App Distribution
Also called: App Distribution, App Tester
Google's service for sending pre-release Android (and iOS) builds to testers.
Definition
Teams upload builds to Firebase App Distribution and testers get an email or an app to install them. It's common for Android test builds that aren't yet on Google Play, often alongside Google Play's internal testing tracks.
In practice
Each night the CI server uploads a new Android build, and testers install it from the App Tester app the next morning.
