Build
Also called: Version
A specific compiled version of the app or website that is ready to be installed or tested.
Definition
A build is a version of the software produced from the source code at a certain point in time, usually with a number such as 2.4.0 (318). Testers always note which build they tested, because bugs may be fixed or introduced in a later one.
In practice
The bug report says "Found in build 3.1.0 (512) on Android". The developer fixes it in build 513 and you retest on that build.
