HEIC
Also called: HEIF
The high-efficiency image format iPhones use by default; not every server or browser supports it.
Definition
Uploads need to accept HEIC or convert it, otherwise iPhone users get confusing errors. It belongs in every image upload test kit.
In practice
An iPhone photo upload fails with 'Something went wrong' because the server only accepts JPEG and PNG.
