Interruption
Also called: Interruption testing
Anything that takes the user away from the app mid-task: a call, an alarm, a notification, low battery.
Definition
Interruption testing checks how an app behaves when something else grabs the screen or the system's attention. The app should pause sensibly and resume without losing data or crashing.
In practice
A phone call arrives during a video upload. After the call, the upload should continue or clearly offer to retry.
