Definition
System testing evaluates the whole application end to end, in an environment close to production. It covers both functional and non-functional requirements and is where most manual testers spend their time.
In practice
You test the full journey in a travel app: search a flight, choose seats, pay, receive the confirmation email and see the booking in "My trips".
