Test scenario
A high-level idea of what to test, such as 'User resets a forgotten password'.
Definition
A test scenario is a one-line description of a situation or user journey worth testing. It says what to test, not exactly how. One scenario usually becomes several detailed test cases.
In practice
Scenario "User adds an item to the cart" could become test cases for adding one item, adding the same item twice, adding an out-of-stock item, and adding while offline.
