Test case
A written set of steps, data and an expected result used to check one specific behavior.
Definition
A test case describes exactly how to test one thing: preconditions, steps, test data and the expected result. Anyone on the team should be able to follow it and get the same outcome. Good test cases are specific, independent and easy to repeat.
In practice
"TC-012: Log in with a valid email and wrong password. Expected: an error message 'Incorrect email or password' is shown and the user stays on the login screen."
