Validation
Checking that we built the right product, one that really meets users' needs.
Definition
Validation checks whether the product fulfills its intended use and the real needs of its users. It answers "Are we building the right product?" A product can pass verification and still fail validation if the requirements were wrong.
In practice
The 4-digit PIN works exactly as specified, but in user testing older customers keep forgetting it and ask for Face ID instead. The product is verified but not validated.
