Button
A control the user taps or clicks to perform an action, like Save, Send or Buy.
Definition
A button triggers an action immediately. Buttons come in levels of emphasis (primary, secondary, tertiary or text) and have several states: default, hover, pressed, focused, disabled and loading. Testers check every state, not just the happy tap.
In practice
On a checkout screen the "Place order" button should become disabled and show a spinner after the first tap, so a second tap can't create a duplicate order.
