Dropdown
Also called: Select, Picker, Combo box
A control that shows the selected option and opens a list of options when tapped.
Definition
Dropdowns, also called selects or pickers, save space when there are many options. On mobile they often open a native picker or a bottom sheet. Testers check long lists, search, default values, keyboard use and what happens near the screen edge.
In practice
A country dropdown with 195 options should be searchable and should show the selected country after the user closes it.
